5th Grade Carnival

We will be holding the 5th Grade Carnival on June 14, 2024 in the gym beginning around 10:30AM. In 2023 holding the carnival in the gym allowed us to keep it more low key, and we avoided kids getting sick!

VOLUNTEER ROLES (WILL BE UPDATING):

  • Concessions – Run concessions at PTA events throughout the year to fundraise – first event will be Sept 8th (outdoor movie). Items to sell can be donated by parents, or the PTA can purchase them (but we take the cost out of proceeds). Events include – movie nights (2), spaghetti dinners (2), Election Day bake sale, bingo/winter event, Monster Mash, etc..
  • Well Wishes – A program for the 5th grade graduation. Parents, family, and friends pay $5 per 100 characters to insert messages for students. Businesses can also sponsor full/half page ads.
  • Baby Board – Organize baby pictures of 5th grade students and post on the bulletin board in the 5th grade area.
  • 5th Grade Musical shirts – These can either be provided free for all students, or sold.
  • Yard signs – I can provide logos and prior companies used. The design has been a standard template with child name, year, etc..
  • Graduation shirts – Ashburn Orthodontics donated these last year. I can provide templates, etc..
  • Rides – This will be inflatables and what we can put in the gym. I can give all information for contact. As we have a credit balance from last year.
  • Food – We had a lot of donors and deals last year I can put you in touch with.
  • Day of volunteers – Come help out!

We’re open to any ideas on fundraisers, so if you have an idea, pitch it! For instance, 2021-2022 did the school cookbook which raised a decent amount of funds.

The PTA contributes money ($1,500), and as stated above we have a credit balance with the rides/inflatables company we can apply to this year.
